Quality of the soil
Cultivating good plant material starts with fertile, water-permeable soil which is free of disease germs, good waterIn selecting our plots we not only look carefully at the quality of the soil, but of the water as well. In this area it is generally good to very good! and favourable climatic conditionsThe climate in the Netherlands is generally known to have short, relatively soft winters. Therefore the plants can stay in the open field longer and there is substantially less risk of frostbite, for example.. Northeast Brabant rates highly on all three of these qualifications and is seen as one of the most favourable in Europe for the cultivation of strawberry and asparagus plants in particular! Moreover we have a large number of different plots in an area with a radius of 25 kilometres in the vicinity of Erp. That makes it possible for us to rotate and substantially minimises the likelihood of disease.
